Fringe events

Preparing for the future

From 9.00-10.00 on Tuesday 29 June, delegates will have a choice of 3 surgeries to start the Convention, as follows:

CLG Surgery:
Your chance to meet Steve Quartermain and key members of the CLG team, who will take questions from attendees.
APC: an RTPI surgery:
Guidance and one-to-one advice from RTPI on going through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) process. This surgery will be useful to anyone working towards RTPI membership, whether you have yet to register for APC or are already working on your submission.
Shaping your future career in an uncertain world: an RTPI careers surgery:
Whatever stage you're at in your career, this surgery will help you explore your options in planning, nationally and internationally.

Exhibition of Good Practice
Celebrating excellence – good practice in planning
RTPI will be showcasing some of the best examples of good practice in spatial planning and regeneration from around the UK and Ireland. By highlighting some of the innovative projects, processes and initiatives that demonstrate good practice, we hope to show what planning can achieve and inspire you to aim even higher in your own work.

Our good practice signpost index is available at http://www.rtpi.org.uk/item/362/23/5/3 and if you have an example of good practice you would like to share, please contact us at practice@rtpi.org.uk

Submit a question for the plenary session: 'Shaping the United Kingdom’s future'.
