The RTPI’s Planning Convention is the seminal event in Planning. The Convention is an intense yet enjoyable three days of learning, sharing and networking. As President, I intend to focus my year on tackling the weighty agendas that have put planning ‘centre stage’. As planners we are in a crucial position to continue to make real and important changes to the world around us.

The Planning Convention provides the forum for us to discuss the very latest recommendations from Barker, Stern and the other reviews which will feature in the upcoming Planning White Paper. No other seminars or meetings allow you to explore the spatiality of these issues in full – both during the plenary sessions and workshops, and over dinner and drinks in the restaurants and bars of central London.
